water-heater-vent

Question by guy stieferman

Working on a kitchen remodel. Looking to remove an old, unused, walled in chimney to gain more space. Currently hot water heater is below in basement and vents through this chimney. Thinking of removing the chimney and enclosing the vent pipe in a much smaller cavity using double walled vent pipe. How much room do I need between vent pipe and studs, etc.?

I'm selling my checkthishouse.com domain and this website.

I created it in 2001 for my home inspection business so it's a well established property with around 150 home improvement related posts. It also comes with a Youtube channel and a Q&A forum.

Website can be easily adopted for any home inspection / home improvement related business. Makes money on daily basis without even being touched, although it could make much more, I just don't have time to maintain it.

If you're an Illinois based home inspector I'll add http://homeinspectorillinois.com domain to this deal.
